Parks and Recreation Bulletin Board

                                             

         Registration is now underway for the Napoleon Parks and Recreation Department’s Fall Soccer Leagues.  This program is open to boys and girls entering grades 1 thru 4.  There will be a 1st and 2nd Grade league along with a 3rd and 4th grade league.  Games are scheduled for Saturday morning’s beginning in late September.  Click here to register online.  Registration forms are available at the City Building or at local schools.  Registration deadline is on Tue., Sept. 7.   Volunteer coaches are needed and should contact the City Building at 419-592-4010 for more information.

          The Napoleon Parks and Recreation Department has announced registration for its Flag Football program for those entering the 3rd and 4th Grades.  This is an eight week program that will introduce the game of football through a non-contact format.  Teams will be formed following a two week conditioning and instructional session.  The first night of practice is scheduled for Monday, September 13 at 5:30 p.m. at the Oberhaus Park flag football fields.  Another practice will is scheduled for Sept. 14 at 5:30 pm.  Following the first week, practice sessions and games will be held on Monday and Tuesday evenings from 5:30 – 7:00 p.m.  Click here to register online.  Registration forms are also available at the City Building or at area schools.  Registration deadline is Wednesday, September 8.  Volunteer coaches are needed.  For more information, contact the City Building at 419-592-4010.    

Attention Napoleon Rec Soccer Coaches Clinic:

The Napoleon Soccer club is hosting a informational Coaches Clinic on Wednesday, September 15th from 5:00 - 6:30 pm at the C.D. Brillhart School soccer fields.

         The Napoleon Municipal Pool is now closed for the season.  The pool staff thanks everyone for their patronage.

          The Napoleon Golf Course clubhouse is now open for the season.  Tee times are highly recommended and can be made by contacting the golf clubhouse at 419-592-5526.  Click here for information on rates and fees.   

          The Parks and Recreation in conjunction with the United Karate System and its instructor Randy Hann is currently offering Karate Classes.  Sessions are held on Tuesday and Sundays at West Elementary School.   Please visit karatebyhann for more information on classes held in Napoleon.

         A new private boat dock storage policy has been implemented by the City of Napoleon.  Docks placed at the west end of the facility will subject to various removal dates based on the zone in which they are stored.  Click here to see a diagram of the storage zones.  For more information, contact the City Building at 592-4010.
