I, David M. Grahn, was born in 1955 in Defiance County, Ohio and have lived in Napoleon, Ohio since 1993. I chose to move to Napoleon after taking the position of Napoleon City Prosecutor due to a desire to become part of the community. Prior to becoming employed with the City of Napoleon, I served as a Deputy Sheriff in Ohio for 14 years, eventually earning the rank of Investigator/Sgt. where I was primarily responsible in handling major crime investigation. In an effort to pursue my career as an attorney, I became employed as an Assistant County Prosecutor for neighboring Paulding County, Ohio where I served for 2 years, responsible for adult and juvenile prosecution as well as acting as legal advisor to the Township and County officials. Your Napoleon City Law Director is a general practitioner of the law, and has continued legal education in the following areas: |

The office of the Napoleon City Law Director has since 1993 been staffed with one attorney, being the Napoleon City Law Director and one Executive Assistant, Ms. Sheryl Rathge. Sheryl is a high school graduate of Napoleon High School and a life long resident of Henry County, Ohio. She has worked with the City since 1985, learning the City's overall operations and thereby offering efficiency to City government.
