Registration is underway for the Boys Youth Basketball program for boys in grades 3 thru 6. This program will stress skill development while incorporating competitive game play. The first week will consist of four evaluation sessions to assess player skill levels and determine team selections. Evaluation sessions are mandatory and will be held on Monday, November 12th through Thursday, November 15th from 6:30 – 7:45 pm. at the Napoleon Elementary School gymnasium. Players are to report on these dates. No phone calls or emails will be sent prior to the first week. Following the evaluation sessions, games will be played on Saturday mornings on December 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, January 5th, 12th, 19th and 26th at the Elementary School. Open Swimming at the Napoleon High School will begin on Sunday, October 14th. The pool will be open for the entire family on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 - 4:00 pm. Pool hours will also be available from 8:30 - 10:00 pm. on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for adults 18 and over. Admission is $2.00 per person.

A new private boat dock storage policy has been implemented by the City of Napoleon. There will be a $50.00 annual fee to place docks at the Ritter Park boatramp facility. In addition to the annual fee, dock storage will also be subject to various removal dates based on the zone in which they are stored. The Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the United Karate System and its instructor Randy Hann is currently offering Karate Classes.
