    Registration has begun for the Flag Football program for those in 3rd and 4th grades.  The program is scheduled to begin on Wed., Sept. 12th.  Registration deadline is Mon., Sept. 10th.  Click here for more information.  

    The Napoleon Parks and Recreation Department is now taking registration for the Youth Volleyball program for those girls in the 4th thru 6th grades. This is an instructional program designed to introduce players to the game of volleyball. Skill develop and game play will be included. The program will be held on Sunday afternoons from 2:00 –4:00 pm. beginning on September 9th at the Napoleon Junior High School gym. Registration deadline is Tuesday, September 4th.      Registration is now underway for the Napoleon Youth Soccer program.  This program will be coordinated by the Napoleon Soccer Club and is open to boys and girls in grades 1 thru 4.  There will be a 1st and 2nd Grade league along with a 3rd and 4th grade league.  Games are scheduled for Saturday morning’s beginning in late September.  Click here for a registration form.  Forms are also available at the area schools.  There is a $20.00 fee for participants.  Make checks payable to the Napoleon Soccer Club, P.O. Box 646, Napoleon, OH.  Registration forms can be mailed to the Soccer Club at P.O. Box 646 or can be dropped off to the Napoleon City Building.  Registration deadline is on Friday, September 14th.   Volunteer coaches are needed and should contact the City Building at 419-592-4010 for more information.

     The Napoleon Municipal Pool is now closed for the season.  Information regarding the indoor swim program will be announced in early October.

     The Napoleon Golf Course is now open for the season.  Click here for information on rates and fees or to make a tee time.  The Golf Course is now offering a Corporate Membership.  Inquire at the Clubhouse at 419-592-5526.   

     A new private boat dock storage policy has been implemented by the City of Napoleon.  There will be a $50.00 annual fee to place docks at the Ritter Park boatramp facility.  In addition to the annual fee, dock storage will also be  subject to various removal dates based on the zone in which they are stored.  Click here to view the entire policy including a description of the storage zones.  Click here for a storage permit registration form For more information, contact the City Building at 419-592-4010. 

      The new Off-Leash Dog Park is located in East Riverdowns Park on E. Front St.  To access the dog park, a $10.00 annual membership is required.  Click here for more information on becoming a member.

     The Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the United Karate System and its instructor Randy Hann is currently offering Karate Classes.  Sessions are held on Tuesday and Sundays at Oberhaus Park Community Center and at the Napoleon Elementary School.   For class information, visit www.karatebyhann.com.
