The City of Napoleon’s yard waste site is located at 1722 Oakwood Avenue. City of Napoleon residents and non-residents or contractors with valid Yard Waste Site Passes utilizing the Yard Waste Site shall in addition to these Rules follow all Regulations, Rules and Laws of this City and State pertaining to dumping at Yard Waste Site.

GRASS & LEAVES & VEGETATIVE WASTE

All grass and leaves must be removed from bags and deposited in a loose condition in the provided area. Flower waste, and domestic vegetative waste (e.g. corn stalks, tomato vines, and hedge clippings) are to be deposited in the grass and leaves area. No bagged waste of any kind will be accepted at any time.

LIMBS & BRUSH TRIMMINGS

Brush piles found are to be used only for drop brush. No items shall exceed 10” (inches) in diameter or 48” (inches) in length.

CONCRETE RECYCLING

Any person depositing scrap concrete must have prior permission from the Operations Superintendent, or his designee.

 

Mulch Availability

City of Napoleon residents and non-residents or contractors with valid Yard Waste Site Passes may load their own vehicle/equipment with no limit and at no extra charge anytime so long as quantity exists.

The City offers the following special services to City of Napoleon residents and non-residents or contractors with valid Yard Waste Site Passes. All requests for special services must be made through the Operations Department. These services are typically scheduled on Friday. No special service will be scheduled on weekends or at any time that could result in overtime or when work schedules would need to be adjusted to accommodate this service.

Load Only

$5.00 - The City will load a privately owned truck or trailer, within the capacity of City equipment.

Small Dump Truck Load (approximately 3 cubic yards)

$10.00 – Delivery within corporation limits.

$10.00 plus $1.00 per loaded mile – Delivery outside corporation limits, but within Henry County.

Large Dump Truck Load (approximately 6 cubic yards)

$15.00 – Delivery within the City limits.

$15.00 plus $1.25 per loaded mile – Delivery outside corporation limits, but within Henry County.

Curbside Leaf Pickup

The City of Napoleon’s residential bagged leaf pickup is offered one week each November. There will not be a specific route schedule during the week for the pickup of bagged leaves.

Curbside leaf vacuuming is available for senior citizens, Golden Buckeye Card holders, or those individuals designated as legally disabled. A written request including street address and proof of eligibility must be received at the City Administration office no later than the Friday prior to the week scheduled. No other residents are permitted to rake their leaves to the curb.

City residents are reminded that leaves may be deposited anytime at the 1722 Oakwood Avenue facility in loose (bulk) form on the existing grass, leaf and vegetative pile. Do not deposit leaves with the brush or the wood chips. Other items such as flower bed or garden wastes may also be deposited here. The City of Napoleon will prosecute all violators for misuse of the yard waste facility.
